Pioneering the First Industrial SFC Process for Omega-3 Production

Dr. Peter Lembke graduated in Food Science and Chemistry at the University of Wuppertal, Germany and in his doctoral thesis developed the first industrial Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC) process at the Institute of Applied Physical Sciences of the University of Saarbrücken, which was patented by the current world leader in the production of pharmaceutical Omega-3 fatty acids, the German KD-Pharma group in Bexbach (Germany).

Fatty Acid Extraction and Purification Plant (Tarragona, Spain)

In 1996 he moved to Spain as project manager for the manufacturing of the first extraction and purification plant of fatty acids for pharmaceutical and food use in Tarragona (KD IQA).

Foundation of Beps Biopharm

His professional career and a lifetime dedicated to the study and manufacture of fish oil, as well as a great desire to raise awareness of DHA and EPA fatty acids and their beneficial effects on our health, led him to create Beps Biopharm, a company specialized in the formulation of high quality and concentrated Omega-3 supplements in Spain, in 2001.
